Men's Ministry

Our "Hooked on Jesus" Men’s Ministry is purposed with bringing men together to be stronger men of God, as well as encouraging them to become more effective leaders of their family.  Our ministry meets weekly to fellowship, study God’s word, and pray for needs.  During our prayer time, we have witnessed prayers answered from coast to coast.

Several members of our group have also participated in outreach projects to help those in our communities.  As a few examples, we have worked on construction projects, joined with other men’s ministries to help meet the needs of those outside our community, and participated in events across denominations to help further God’s kingdom.

The Men’s Ministry group also hosts special events to bring men from our church and others in the community together.  If you would like to experience God move and work among us, please inquire about our annual events.  As one of our primary outings, each year in October, we host a weekend event filled with fellowship, fun, and most importantly seeing God move in our lives.

Matthew 4:19 says:

"...Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."

Women's Ministry

Diggins Baptist Church Women's Ministry strives to follow Paul's teaching in Titus 2:3-5:

"The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed."

Whether it be a bible study, a fellowship event, or supporting another sister in her ministry, we do it through the love Jesus has instilled in each one of His daughters,  to encourage and support one another.

Children's Ministry

The early years are when it is most important to encourage children to begin reading the Bible, memorizing key passages and verses, learning from biblical stories and parables, and developing essential social skills.  These key learnings will help prepare them to enter into some of the most critical developmental years of their lives.  Their elementary years is when most children make faith decisions that form their belief system for the remainder of their lives.

Proverbs 22:6 says:

"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."

For these reasons, we strive to create a loving Christain environment where our next generation can learn, grow, and prepare for life-long development.

Youth Ministry

Youth transitioning into their teen years face some of the most significant challenges of their young lives.  Trying to juggle active social schedules, school, and developing a deeper understanding of their salvation all contribute to a state of endless uncertainty.  Many will face peer pressure to conform to the norms of society.  We strive to equip our youth to sustain these constant demands.

These formative years will continue to solidify the Biblical teachings and begin to expand the personal development initiated in our childhood ministry.  We strive to prepare them to provide the voice of reason when peers choose paths that are not pleasing to God.  We want them to be, not only capable but ready to witness to a friend when the opportunity arises.

Our youth have served in various missions over the past years.  We want to continue to present them with opportunities to show God's love to those around them in need.  Join us in an informal setting to learn more about growing your faith.
